①PU polyurethane blank

Polyurethane (PU) construction refers to surfboards made from polyurethane billets and polyester resin. Polyurethane foam is easy to shape and spray, which makes surfboards cheaper than polystyrene because less time is required to form and finish each board. Polyurethane surfboards react faster but absorb water over time, tend to yellow and flake or crack easily.

Compared to polystyrene (EPS), polyurethane (PU) foam has a higher foam density, which increases elasticity and makes the ride smoother. The disadvantage of building PU board is the impact on the environment, because it contains carcinogens, it is basically impossible to recycle as a surfboard. Pros :PU surfboard is a cheap option.

②PE polyethylene billet

Polyethylene (PE) refers to surfboards made from polyurethane billets and epoxy resins. Polyurethane foam (PU) and epoxy resin is an upgraded version of traditional PU board, made of glass fiber cloth and special epoxy resin laminated. Practice has proven that it can have a more vivid pattern design, increase strength by 5 times, and also help reduce yellowing over time. However, it is more difficult and takes longer to make.

③EPS polystyrene foam

For many reasons, EPS is now a popular choice for many brands. Between EPS and PU, one obvious difference is weight. Compared with traditional polyurethane foam, EPS foam is light weight, durable, epoxy resin strength, and less prone to dents. It has greater toughness and elasticity, which makes it easier for EPS foam to regain its shape than polyester fiber, which is more brittle and more likely to break.
