Fishing boat outboard machine maintenance methods

If you have a fishing boat of your own, we need to maintain the main engine on the fishing boat, the specific maintenance methods are as follows:

Clean the exterior of the engine with water and flush the cooling water system. Let the water drain completely. Wipe off any surface water with an oily rag.

Drain all fuel from the fuel line, fuel cock and carburetor and clean parts including the screen in the fuel cock.

Disassemble the carburetor, remove all dust from inside and clean it with gasoline and compressed air.

Remove the spark plug and empty fill the engine oil or storage rust inhibitor through the spark plug. Pull the recoil starter handle several times to circulate the oil to the internal parts.

Apply grease to the propeller shaft.

Replace the gear oil in the gearbox.

Apply lubricating grease to all sliding parts, bolts and nuts.

Wipe off all water and salt from electrical parts with a dry rag.
